Intelligent, resource-efficient production technologies
Intelligent, resource-efficient production techologies (EffTech) programme
Objectives for the community
The goal is to develop radically new production systems that make the best use of resources and are energy-efficient so as to reduce capital intensiveness and improve the entire cluster's efficiency and flexibility.
The focus areas of Intelligent and Resource-Efficient Production Technologies Programme are:
- Ensure raw material availability in a sustainable way and improve the profitability of forestry.
- Utilization of modeling and simulation in order to be able to increase the speed of the development of new process concepts
- Development of new resource efficient paper production processes that are profitable, sustainable and enabling a range of new products.
New Research Ideas for EffTech Research Programme
New Research Idea Call for “Intelligent and Resource-Efficient Production Technologies” (EffTech) -programme is closed. Thank you for your idea proposals. We received all together 40 new idea proposals. The new ideas are currently under evaluation by EffTech management group. Proposers of most suitable ideas will be invited to present their ideas at the EffTech Workshop on October 7, 2009. In the workshop the aim is to define main targets for the second phase of the programme. The outcome of the workshop will form the basis in building the second phase of the programme.
